McGraw was a standout 3rd baseman for the 19th century Baltimore club for which he batted over .300 nine consecutive seasons. However, regardless of his playing excellence, McGraw’s immortal stature is predominately due to his 29-year stint as the New York Giants manager. He won an astounding 8 pennants and 3 World Championships, and his managerial legacy will outlast eternity, forever embedded in our National Pastime’s glorious history. McGraw was possessed with winning and it is apropos that this splendid 1914 Cracker Jack offering depicts a championship caliber pose of the legendary field general.
