Frankhouse was as good a middle of the rotation pitcher as you could find in the 1930’s, winning 10 or more games a season for most of the decade. In 1934, he won a career high 17 games. And in 1937, Frankhouse made baseball history, defeating Carl Hubbell to end King Carl’s 24-game winning streak. Of the 248 of these graded by PSA, none have received a higher grade.
