While Topps projected Yaz as a second baseman, he never played an inning in the middle infield at the major league level. Instead, the rookie would get the call to take Ted Williams place in left field in 1961. The future Red Sox hero would bat a respectable .266 with 11 home runs and 80 RBI’s his first year. This Yastrzemski Rookie is outstanding with blinding colors and even brighter borders. If you don’t need the absolute demands of a MINT card, this would be a fantastic addition to your collection.
