What an amazing card. And what a great contrast in styles. Mays was always flashy, always dramatic and daring – from spectacular catches to wild runs around the bases to rocketing line drives around the ball park and over the outfield walls. Aaron was smooth, steady and silent, a lunch bucket super hero. Baseball was simply a day on the job for Aaron – hit the ball, drive in the runs, do everything right. It was like he was punching the time clock the moment he stepped on to the field. At the end of the day, though, anyone, anywhere would have given anything to have either of the two greatest players of all time on their teams.
