An All-Star rookie in the ’54 season, Conley would again make the squad in 1955, earning a win for the National League. Before the end of the decade, he would famously become the only person in American sporting history to win championships in two of the four major American sports: baseball’s 1957 World Series Championship with the newly relocated Milwaukee Braves, and the 1959 through 1961 NBA Championships with the Boston Celtics.
