One of the most desirable “E” card issues is the popular E95 Philadelphia Caramels. As is the case with almost all pre-WWI sets, the most highly sort and valuable player in this set is the legendary Ty Cobb. Presented here is an outstanding example of Cobb that has been ‘conservatively’ graded a PSA EX 5 with only eight graded higher. Cobb’s on the field accomplishments speak for themselves and he is certainly one of the greatest ballplayers to ever grace the diamond. His very popular exquisite portrait pose depicts Cobb against a spectacular cranberry red background that is virtually un-improvable. Snow white borders frame the image with the centering approximately 50/50 side to side and 60/40 top to bottom. All of the edges are straight and end at four square corners that are only lightly touched. Throughout the entire card, no creasing is evident and the back also presents very clean. This is a very rare chance to add an outstanding Ty Cobb “E” card to your collection that certainly presents better than the assigned technical grade.
