The 1910 E93 Standard Caramel Candy cards including 30 subjects are considered one of the most popular candy issues in the hobby, and like most “E” cards, mid-grade examples are extremely tough to find. Presented here is a mid-grade Red Dooin in an outstanding SGC 60/5 holder. Currently, ONLY 2 other SGC examples exist at this tier with a a mere 2 graded higher graded higher! With Red Dooin’s claim to fame debatable between his defensive catching abilities or his superior singing talent enabling him to perform with Philadelphia’s Dumont Minstrels, his representation on this offering is one of his best success stories. Dooin’s catching image (similar to his E98 image) is superbly registered, depicting no color wear whatsoever, and set against a solid eye pleasing orange hued background. While the clean white borders are centered to the left, top to bottom centering is “dead on”, and square corners as well as sharp edging complete a solid front side view. As a final compliment to this gem, the backside checklist print registration is perfectly vivid, making this one of the finer available “E” cards in the hobby.
