The young Cobb was both loved and hated by Detroit owner Frank Navin. Navin once considered trading Cobb for Elmer Flick, but backed away from the deal when negotiations became heated. The green Cobb variation is the more scarce of the the 206 Cobb portraits and is highly prized, particularly when the card exhibits better registration. While this Cobb does exhibit some wear, rounding and general signs of rounding, a Cobb at any grade is something to be appreciated.
