Clarke’s early Pirate teams were among the greatest of all-time, as they captivated the tough-minded steel mill workers of Pittsburgh. The Hall of Famer’s Pittsburgh powerhouse teams won 859 games from 1901 – 1909, thank in large part to a shortstop named Wagner. Clark’s card dazzles the eye. The deep colors are anchored by bright white borders. Light touches at the corners add character rather than detract from the card’s overall appeal.
