Keeler’s portrait, whether here or in the T206 set is a benchmark card for collecting. Wee Willie was one of the great transition artists of baseball. He excelled at the 19th century game, adapted and applied his skills differently in the 20th century. A slap hitter, Keeler’s timeless philosophy of “Hit ‘em where they ain’t” will forever remain a part of baseball lore.
