In 1909, the Philadelphia Caramel Co. produced a 25 card set including a myriad of  Hall of Famers such as Ty Cobb, Honus Wagner, Christy Mathewson and many more.  Like most pre-WWI issues, the most desirable and valuable subject is the immortal Tyrus Raymond Cobb and presented here in an absolutely outstanding PSA 6 holder is the great Georgia Peach” in one of his most popular cards.  Currently, of the almost 100 encapsulated examples, only 4 have graded higher!  Any artifact of the incomparable Ty Cobb is actively pursued by any vintage enthusiast, let alone this ultra-desirable offering.  The “Georgia Peach” is one of the five original HOF members, the owner of baseball’s highest lifetime average (.367), and undoubtedly one of baseballs five greatest position players to ever grace the diamond.  The controversial, fiery Detroit outfielder had no piers as a “five tool” pre-WWI player, prompting collectors to actively pursue his obscure cardboard artifacts.  Cobb was very familiar with being the best at everything he associated himself with, and likewise, this miraculous representation of the incomparable legend has very few piers.

This E95 gem provides the radiant eye appeal enthusiasts are actively seeking for their Hall of Fame collections.  Even more rewarding is the Ty Cobb portrait pose gracing the card.  This the ONLY issue depicting this rare pose of the Tiger legend, unlike many Cobb standard batting images that were used for various ‘E”’ card issues (e.g., E90-1, E101, E102, E106, T206, T216, etc.).  The eye appeal of the majestic Cobb is virtually pristine, exhibiting a brilliant blend of grey tones and facial colored hues that are immensely projected by a flawless cranberry red background.  Snow white borders are well centered and all four corners still maintain a majority of their original square shape, with only a hint of wear preventing this card from achieving near mint status.  The reverse side 25 subject checklist is vividly registered, set against a clean, unblemished background.  No creases, whatsoever, are evident for an E95 Cobb specimen that is, unquestionably, one of the finest we have ever come across.  A museum worthy masterpiece that, while already highly graded, provides the coveted eye appeal beyond the technical assessment.

This is a great opportunity to purchase a rare high grade Ty Cobb E95 card that won’t “break the bank”.  Like Babe Ruth, Joe Jackson and Honus Wagner, Cobb collectibles continue to skyrocket every day and who knows when this trend will cease.  That is why low population high grade Cobb “E” cards as this miraculous E95 Cobb cannot be overlooked as an awesome investment opportunity.  We highly advise you to take your best shot at augmenting your collection with this incredible Cobb offering that is typically seen in low to mid-grade, seldom available in the presented PSA 6 holder!
