How good was Honus Wagner? In a legendary baseball moment, Wagner was once caught reaching into his hip pocket for a chaw of tobacco with his glove hand when a ball was unexpectedly hit into play. Wagner calmly snagged the sharp grounder barehanded and gunned down the runner at first--with one hand behind his back! This Wagner Caramel Card delivers an outstanding image with signs of light handling. The colors and whites on the card have withstood the years very well and still explode from the printing stock. A slight registration problem with the red printing plate keeps this card from scoring higher than a two, but the visual effect is so minimal that it makes this Wagner an impressive value for the grade.
