One of the hardest to find Cracker Jacks is the error variation of Hall of Famer Roger Bresnahan. Issued without Bresnahan’s card number on the reverse, very few of these cards are known and rarely are they seen. The great Bresnahan was a rough-and-tumble type who never ducked a fight and never held back, verbally, physically or mentally. In simple terms, Bresnahan left it all out on the field every game. His Cracker Jack delivers glowing reds and brilliant whites. A stunning portrait pose virtually “jumps” off the card, affixed to a “fire engine” red background that slightly favors the right edge. Four relatively square, moderately touched corners and fine edging provide a strong perimeter, the borders only depict mild toning, are and the reverse side reflects only mild staining. Overall, its strong aesthetics certainly provide the eye appeal typically seen with mid-grade examples. Regardless, we are certain that no high end Cracker Jack collector will bid accordingly, not letting this seldom offered masterpiece “slip away”! POP REPORT: 15 Total graded, with five grading higher. Highest grade recorded: PSA 5.
