This is one of the quintessential Topps baseball cards ever produced, not for scarcity, rookie card status or any other reason than the subject’s arms. The massive pipes that “Big Klu” constantly showed off are in all their glory on this card. Kluszewski used to cut off the sleeves of his red undershirt to show off those bulging biceps, and to send the opposing pitcher into fits of fear. It worked on many occasions as Klu amassed 171 home runs over a four year period prior to this card being issued. This example is exceptionally clean, with tremendous centering, four razor sharp corners and pearly white borders. The reverse is free of any wear. This is an outstanding example of one of the key cards from the 1957 set, and one of five graded at this level by SGC with only THREE higher.
