If you are seeking one of the finest Cracker Jack specimens in existence then look no further because this miraculous Ewell Russell 1915 Cracker Jack graded an SGC Mint 96/9 currently resides as the ONLY mint copy on BOTH the SGC and PSA census reports! Russell enjoyed one of the most imposing rookie seasons ever in major League history, winning 22 games and posting a microscopic 1.91 E.R.A. for the Chicago White Sox. While he never managed to match the success of his inaugural season, Russell’s 15 wins in 1917 assisted the White Sox in winning their second World Series Championship. Likewise, his portrayal on this breathtaking offering is championship caliber in every conceivable way starting with a superior pitching pose of the popular southpaw that is encompassed by a flawless fire-engine red background. Razor sharp edging (including 4 pin-point corners), brilliant white borders, fine centering with only a hint favoring the left edge, and a pristine surface complete a near-perfect obverse side. The bold black typography affixed to a blinding white reverse side background provide the final exclamation point to a card that via its “best of the rest” status qualifies as one of the supreme Cracker Jack specimens in existence!
