Crandall was an anchor behind the plate for the Braves pitching staff that would defeat the Yankees in the World Series. Crandall’s understanding of the game made him a hit in the minors as a manager after his playing days. Sadly, his shot at major league managing fell short with the Milwaukee Brewers in the mid-70’s. POP Report: Exceeded by 8 examples grading higher.
