White is one of the great forgotten pitchers in baseball history. The Chicago mainstay won 190 games and recorded a 2.38 career ERA. In the White Sox World Championship year of 1907, White went 18-6, walked only 38 batters in 219 innings and went 1-1 in October with a 1.80 ERA. An amazing control pitcher, White once pitched five consecutive shutouts.
