Wade was a classic 4A hitter. He consistently hit near .300 in the minors, but simply couldn’t hit big league pitching. Blessed with great speed, Wade was converted to outfield after debuting as a pitcher in the Dodger organization in 1947. In two brief tryouts with the Cubs in 1955 and 1956, Wade hit under .200 and never saw the majors again. POP REPORT: 1 of 3 PSA 8.5’s. Exceeded by three examples graded higher.
