No baseball card could ever match the brilliant artistic designs and color patterns of the ultra-desirable 911 Turkey Red cabinets. These oversized premiums were obtained by mailing in coupons from Turkey Red, Old Mill and Fez brand cigarettes, and are considered by most vintage card experts as the most attractive and exquisite cards ever produced in our treasured hobby. Presented here is the legendary Hall of Famer John McGraw in a superb PSA 5.5 holder. While a standout 19th century 3rd baseman, John McGraw’s legendary stature is predominately due to his 29 year stint as the New York Giants manager. He won an astounding 8 pennants and 3 World Championships, and his managerial legacy will outlast eternity. McGraw was possessed with championship fever, and it is appropriate that his brilliant “sideways” pose Turkey Red projects one of the most coveted T3 images in the set. Bending on his left knee, McGraw appears to be “conjuring up” another one of his ingenious decisions, with his iconic pose set against a sparkling array of blue, green and gray hues. Four virtual blemish free borders end at moderately worn corners and four sharp edges, with no glaring creases evident. The checklist back is depicted in bold black typography and displays spectacular aesthetics, the final exclamation point to this wonderful John McGraw museum worthy masterpiece!
