Turner pioneered the head-first slide because traditional sliding techniques hurt his bad ankles. A career .258 hitter, Turner caught fire for one seasons, batting .308 in 1912. He also broke up three no-hitters that season. Only one El Principe DeGales Turner Graded Higher by PSA.
