In a world filled with duplication, this Chase card is one of the more unique of the period. The illustration depicts Prince Hal crouching just before the pitch, and at the ready. Considered by most to be the finest fielding first baseman of his time, Chase’s habit of dropping balls to help out the gamblers foiled any hope of a legacy in Cooperstown.
