While his Major League career got off to a slow start, going 1-8 over his first two seasons in 1906 and 1907 for the Tigers, Ed Willett held the rival Pirates to zero runs and just three hits in 7-2/3 innings in two appearances in the 1909 World Series, and his career mark would finish at 102-100. Not too shabby!
