Danny Murphy was originally a part of Connie Mack’s $100,000 infield until the arrival of Eddie Collins, when Murphy moved into the outfield. A reliable player, Murphy won three World Series with the A’s along with two more pennants, and he collected a noteworthy 1,563 hits with a .289 average in his 16-year career. Offered here is one of the hobby’s finest examples of Danny’s tough E106 issue, outshined by just 2 marginally superior copies on record at SGC and zero at PSA.
