This is one of the finest Jack Chesbro cards you can own. The T206 Chesbro is one of the hobby’s most alluring portraits – and captures one of the game’s most tragic figures in a noble pose. In 1904 the New York spitballer won 41 games, completed his first 30 consecutive starts, pitched a mind-numbing 454 innings and appeared in 55 games. But the season was lost when a Chesbro wild pitch skipped to the screen and cost New York the pennant.
