Considered by many as the greatest all-round second baseman to ever play, Collins played in six World Series for the A’s and White Sox, batting .328 with 11 RBI’s. The Hall of Famer hit .333 over his career, pounding out 3,311 hits and stealing 743 bases. To add to his legacy, it was Collins who signed a young Ted Williams while on a scouting trip to San Diego for the Red Sox.
