While best known for his days with the Cubs, Evers was the 1914 MVP with the Miracle Braves. In one of the greatest upsets of all time, the Braves swept the mighty Philadelphia A’s in the World Series, as Evers led the way with a .438 batting average. The slight infielder also knocked in the winning run in the Series deciding game.
