This is baseball’s first folk hero as we want to remember him. Mathewson had such amazing control that he often breezed through games on fewer than 80 pitches. From 1903 to 1914, he never won fewer than 22 games, while averaging only 1.6 walks per nine innings. At a SGC 5, this is more than a treasure…it is an heirloom. Make it yours.
