Called “Crossfire” for his wicked sidearm delivery, Moore was an early strikeout artist who intimidated hitters with his sweeping arm motion. The year this card was made, the Phillies were expecting big things from Moore, since he led the league in strikeouts in 1910 and won 22 games. Unfortunately, Moore crashed to Earth in 1911 and lost 19 games.
