You will not get any arguments that Sandy Koufax, at peak value, was the greatest pitcher who ever lived. From 1962 through 1966, he dominated major league hitters as no other pitcher ever has, to the tune of 3 Cy Young awards and 4 no-hitters (including one perfect game!). Cardboard enthusiasts scramble to collect his most valuable cards, and no Koufax issue is more desirable than his 1955 Topps Rookie Card, presented here with an absolutely breathtaking PSA Gem Mint 10 black sharpie signature! Understandably, the Koufax rookie card suffices as his most sought after cardboard collectible, but seldom are enthusiasts afforded the opportunity to seize a fine aesthetically pleasing copy including his ultra-desirable autograph with a PSA “Gem Mint 10” designation. No Koufax signature could possibly boast the unparalleled jet black boldness and vivid registration as this seemingly miraculous offering. Add the fact that the eye appeal of this mid-grade wonder is virtually consistent with an “EX” specimen, its overall attributes are consistent with ay museum worthy memento. The nearly impeccable Koufax portrait image, bright yellow setting, snow white borders and super clean surfaces all combine with the flawless “Sandy Koufax” black sharpie autograph to create one of the finest signed baseball cards in existence. Over time, Sandy Koufax has evolved into an American sports hero, justified by his incredible five year run that is unequalled in baseball history. Likewise, this Rookie Card representation of him including an immaculate “Gem Mint 10” script of the legendary southpaw will immediately become one of the focal points of any serious compilation!
