This amazingly Polar Bear advertising back of Frank “Piano Mover” Smith’s white cap card is a treasure in any condition. Smith was a true anti-management player, holding out and walking off the job when he felt he was being treated unfairly. Smith’s run-ins with Charlie Comiskey are legendary.A malcontent, Smith grew angry with the White Sox in 1908 and left the team in the heat of a pennant race, quite possibly costing the team a World Series appearance against the Cubs.
