A solid and reliable performer and great glove man, Schulte patrolled centerfield for the Browns, Senators and later the Pirates. Considered one of the finest fielding centerfielders of his era, Schulte could also hit, running up a career .292 average, while also hitting a team high .333 in his only World Series appearance in 1933 with the Senators.
