Killebrew was thought to be the slugger that would lead the Senators to the promised land. But no hitter can keep the other team from scoring. After the team moved to Minnesota, Killebrew helped lead a hard-hitting attack to the pennant in 1965, but the Twins big bats couldn’t overcome Koufax and Drysdale.
