Masterpieces and Uncommon Commons XLVIII
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/29/2013
Most people remember chance the leader and Chance the fielder, but few fans realize that “The Peerless Leader” was a daring and disruptive force on the bases. Chance captured the NL stolen base crown in 1903 with 67 and again in 1906 with 57. The Chance red portrait is without question the most difficult to obtain of the Hall of Famer’s T206 offerings and is considered THE card to own when assembling the trio of bear cubs who would frustrate McGraw’s Giants.
