One of the most memorable moments of Berra’s career came when he caught Don Larson’s perfect game in the ’56 Series. After the final out, Berra jumped in Larson’s arms and the pitcher almost crumbled. The moment was like watching a cocktail tomato jump on a toothpick. But it didn’t matter. The world had just witnessed perfection. Outstanding ’61. A gem of a nine!
