A tough-nosed catcher with a rocket arm, McCullough is believed to be the last catcher to play without a chest protector. For historic purposes, McCullough caught the first no-hitter by an African American pitcher, when Sam Jones turned the trick May 12, 1955. Good trivia answer—remember it! This is a solid eight with only one card graded higher.
