Shortstop Bill Dahlen’s career spanned 21 years, from 1891 – 1911, playing for Chicago, Brooklyn, New York, Boston and a final brief stint back with Brooklyn. Presented here is his portrait T206 “Harris Collection’ card in a wonderful PSA 8/OC grade. Currently, PSA has encapsulated approximately 130 Dahlen’s with only 3 at this level and NONE graded higher. Dahlen’s picturesque image is un-improvable, the ultimate example of superior photography with assistance from a soft green background. The borders are snow white with centering that is approximately 55/45 ‘right to left’ and 75/25 ‘top to bottom’. With the 75/25 estimate ultra conservative, it appears that the ‘OC’ qualifier may be somewhat harsh in this instance. Rounding out the cards exceptional qualities are sharp/square corners and a spectacular 350 Subjects Piedmont advertisement that is perfectly centered on a brilliant white background. Dahlen may not be enshrined in Cooperstown, but his representation on this T206 gem is certainly HOF material!
