If the T206 Wagner considered the ‘Holy Grail’ of the hobby, what category does this 1911-14 Brunners Butter Krust Honus Wagner, a PSA 8 and the highest graded, ‘one of one’ card fall into?. Currently, there is no vintage baseball card that is more desirable than the Pirate shortstop great nicknamed the “Flying Dutchman”. The legacy behind his T206 Card has enabled Wagner to leap to the top of the charts in memorabilia popularity, and this awesome “bread card” of him, is an example of a card that may be considered his ‘Mona Lisa’. To date, PSA has only encapsulated nine D304 Wagners, making the availability of this card la fraction of the famous T206 (approximately 50 known examples). Furthermore, after this ‘one of one’ masterpiece, there is only one ‘7’ and then the closet grade drops to a ‘4’!!! Simply put, one cannot ignore these population report statistics. The card itself depicts a spectacular crystal clear image of Wagner as he finishes his majestic swing, adding another hit to his 3,418 lifetime total. The blue and green background colors sparkle with a freshly painted look, and the pure white borders lend themselves to centering that is relatively 50/50 for all four borders. Razor sharp edges, pinpoint corners and a perfectly clean back completes this most exquisite card. The cleanest example in the universe is offered here in a once in a lifetime chance to claim ownership of ‘Hans’ Wagner’s super popular Butter Krust Bread card. Don’t hold back on this one……..you may regret it for a long time to come!
